Review

The latest instalment of Fabric Presents sees Rødhåd serve up a mix of 28 unreleased tracks. Two of those pieces are from the German DJ himself - including the moody opener, "Inception Report" and "Nightlife Experiences", an expansive but driving track that features Theo Nasa on vocals. Elsewhere, Rodhad taps some familiar names for material. Techno veteran DVS1 doesn't disappoint with the droning, tunnelling "Void", Rene Wise delivers the sub-aquatic but spiky "Children of the Night", while Vril's "Pump Out Kids" is a craft peak-time selection, thanks to its epic bass. New artists are well represented too, with the fast-rising Inox Traxx delivering the rolling, drum-heavy, vocal-sampling "DSF" and the Terrence Dixon-style techno minimalism of Tascamboy's "Recovery" impressing.
