Review
After a succession of releases for Nachtstrom Schallplatten and Be As One, Fixon returns to his own label. Soft Games is a full-on affair, with the slamming rhythm and piledriving hi hats of "Blind Towns" and the title track setting the tone for the EP. "Impetu" sees Fixon go down a more visceral route, with concrete weight drums and waves of distorted percussion prevailing. "Reality Pirouettes" is just as intense but on this occasion, a noisy, jacking groove and looped vocal sample prevails. On "Classic Tape", Fixon drops a tough rolling rhythm, featuring dynamic filters and a vocal intoning 'house music'.
