The consistency with which the FKOF, aka FatKidOnFire team are able to unleash fresh dubstep heaters is pretty outstanding in the modern climate, with this latest display of mastery from Arkham Sound once again showcasing just how good their catalogue has become. First up, 'Storm Band' takes a slightly slowed pace, packing in a sub-busting bassline and unpredictable drum skips to kick us off with some glamour, before some more swampy LFO work and industrial drum designs are brought to the forefront in 'Cosmic Horror', shaking the system into a rattling wreck. The crunchiness of 'Watcher's Eye' stands out next, with some powerful drum processing and hard-hitting low-end action being the main event, before the skippy rhythms and jittering melodics of 'Trenches' round off the EP with a suitable bang. Lovely work!
