Review
Originally released back in 2001, Floorplan's On The Case hasn't lost any of its primal energy. One of the first releases by Robert Hood as Floorplan, it also set the tone and approach for the rest of the project. "On The Case" teems with snappy percussion and doubled up claps supported by an insistent bass drum, with these elements providing the backdrop for what has become the signature Floorplan dramatic chord sweep. "The Deal" represents a darker take on this style; again, propulsive percussion and hard but funky drums provide the basis, but on this occasion, it's all about the intense stabs, looped to infinity.Get new release alerts
