Review

Marking twenty years since Mego first took form as a bastion of experimental electronic music, Fridge Trax Plus is a celebration of the pioneering work of the label founders General Magic and Pita. The original album Fridge Trax involved the placement of microphones within a fridge and then making a twisted and surprisingly funky concoction out of the captured sounds. The Live and Final Fridge album was originally released on Source, and now the two companion releases sit pretty next to each other as a fine example of fearless 90s experimentation worked into a highly listenable and timeless collection.
