Deeply spooked beats and bass from New Zealand producer Ghost Note on this rather special release from Iron Shirt. After a (mostly) beatless and cinematic intro ("Vespertine"), Ghost Note drops some seriously low down and moody rhythms, such as the half-step dread of "Akira", the sub-punishing dub of "Disappear" and the echoey and chiming crunk of "Nine Nights". A real treat, especially who like their dubstep on the seriously smoked out and thrillingly sparse side.
