The Swedish duo Gidge, comprised of Jonatan Nilsson and Ludvig Stolterman, presents AB10 - a digital version of their expansive box set. With over 80 minutes of powerful, melodic deep-listening music, the release effortlessly bridges genres, blending intricate beats with a rich, atmospheric soundscape. 'Dusk (2024 version)' opens with broken beats, echoing guitars and downtempo rhythms, showcasing deep textures and heavily processed production. 'Once (Demo version)' includes spacey electro beats, melancholic melodies and a beautiful, ethereal mood. Other strong tracks are 'Growth (Other version)' which combines delicate piano arrangements with portions of vocals and crisp beats, creating a cinematic, soundtrack-like feel that's both uplifting and introspective. 'I Fell In Love' stands out with its balance of heartfelt vocals and pop-leaning yet deep melodic progressions, reminiscent of Moby's turn of the century work. Closing with 'Norrland', the duo delivers emotional, expansive music that feels like a journey through the Nordic wilderness' stirring and serene.
