Italian producer Massimiliano 'Hazylujah' Vianello released his debut record, Too Many Ghosts, on Delsin back in 2011 and like that record, Silhouette is an equally off-centre release. Unlike other techno producers, he favours offbeat rhythms over a predictable, linear approach. On the title track, clattering drums and a surging rave bass ensure that he never runs the risk of sounding predictable, while "Inform to Resist" is a more intense expression of this sound. The riffs are noisy, the rhythm jittery and busy and another powerful sub-bass that recalls the golden days of hardcore moves its way through the arrangement like mercury.Get new release alerts
