Arriving with some superb sleeve art courtesy of PAN boss man Bill Kouligas, there's not one aspect of this Healing Force Project release for Berceuse Heroique that doesn't impress. As Healing Force Project, Antonio Marini has been responsible for some truly inspiring techno for the likes of Acido, Eerie and Sequencias that is as spiritually enriching as the name suggests. It's easy to bear comparisons with Jamal Moss when discussing Marini's work, but the wonderfully named "Strange Apparitions In My Recording Room" feels like it's drawing inspiration from the Jeff Mills project Something In The Sky. Few artists possess the talent to combine jazz and techno in an impressive fashion, yet Marini makes it all sound so easy. The remix finds Berceuse Heroique look to Vancouver, and invite Mood Hut's Hashman Deejay to rework the track in a manner that brings to mind early DJ Food output, albeit a housed-up variant.
