It's easy to forget, from a 2021 viewpoint, just how all-conquering the Acid Jazz label was back in the day. Whatever people like to tell you now, take it from one who was there: at post-club sessions in the rave era you'd hear the likes of Galliano and Brand New Heavies far more often than you would Basic Channel or Black Dog! And we can only assume that reminding people of that fact is the motivation for Heroes Of Acid Jazz to bring us a very faithful cover of this James Taylor Quartet classic, which was first released in 1990 - horrifyingly now a full three decades ago...
