Review

Alberta, Canada's Homesick has appeared previously on Philthtrax, Phyla and Ground Mass Music and is back on Philadelphia's Seclusiasis. The label run by Starkey and Dev79 and has previously fronted up with Knight Riderz, Rusko, NastyNasty and Murderbot to name but a few. On the Legendary EP it's certainly a wonky and street level affair from this fledgling producer. He starts off with the deconstructed drum and bass of "Our Storm" which transforms the UK street sound into a warped footwork affair. It's more of a grimey dubstep affair on the rather brooding ghetto technics of "Legendary", while "Don't Look In The Trunk" again takes to creating a fresh rendition on British underground music, tearing apart the retro sound of jungle from yesteryear and starting again, rather convincingly.
