Review:
Gainesville future folk troupe Hundred Waters has already established a serious pedigree for unique electronic weaves and spells via OWSLA. Now on !K7, they follow up their self-titled debut long player with the beautifully titled The Moon Rang Like A Bell. Deeper, more textured and full of surprises than before, it's an exemplary exercise in audio allure; from the cascading pianos and plundering subs of "Out Alee" to the most abstract sound design and delicate vocal drama of "Chambers", it's a distinctive body of work that commands full attention from start to finish. Largely unclassifiable; fans of Alt-J, Bjork, Florence, The xx, Animal Collective or Four Tet will instantly resonate with this.
