A magnificent meeting of minds here as Hydro and Halogenix (fresh from his three way collab with Sabre and Stray "Oblique") team up for another super smart release on Horizons Music. "Disillusioned" is dominated by a weighty, penetrating b-line which lurks below the crisp percussion and snapping breaks, with ominous fury. Deep, dark and menacing, this one's for the heads. Named after a town in Northern Italy on the border with Croatia, "Trieste" builds from a glimmering, spaced out, atmospheric intro into a stripped back piece of experimentalism.
