Review
Spanish disco stalwart Santana impresses greatly with this five-track EP - though it may take a few listens to truly sink in, such is the musical variety on offer. The squelchy boogie of opener 'Don't Turn Me Back' gives way to the 80s new wave rock stylings of 'Jeopardy', after which there's 'Open The Door' - a country/disco/west coast pop fusion reminiscent of the Phenomenal Handclap Band. Then it's back to boogie with 'Trying Over', before finally 'I Wanna Be With You' - think 70s disco with a raw funk edge - plays us out in fine style. 'Open The Door' takes the gold for yours truly but there's not a duff cut in sight.Get new release alerts
