Following successful outings on Moda, Home Taping is Killing Music, Dabit and Manucci's Mistress, Jack Fell Down pop up on long established German deep house imprint Quintessentials. While there's plenty of their usual bass-heavy, garage-flecked deep house on show - see the thoroughly contemporary buzz of "New Friends", all minor key chords, chopped up vocal samples and rumbling low end - there's generally a groovier, looser feel to these tracks than their usual output. That's most noticeable on opener "The Garage", which infuses a shuffling, old skool breakbeat-house rhythm with delicious pianos, dub-house bass and near-Balearic electronics.
