Review
As it says on his Discogs page, Roman Jauzas is a "producer from France devoted to electro", and that is utterly on-point from our perspective. 'Devoted' is the key word, and his catalogue speaks for itself. Since the late noughties, this guy has been quietly churning out banger after banger, and it's no wonder that he's landed on Holland's mighty Shipwrec imprint. This EP feels like more of an album, a piece of work with a beginning - where we're thrown headfirst into a sparse world of dreary ambient sonics - a middle - which consists of steely drum patterns and tenebrous wars of electro frequencies - and an end - a daring, straight-in-your-face electro hammer that nods to the Bunker school of thought.
