Jensen Interceptor returns with 'The Fontainebleau + Remixes The Remixes', an electrifying EP that showcases the iconic electro sound through a variety of remixes by respected artists. The original, 'The Fontainebleau', delivers a raw, Planet Rock-influenced electro bomb, with a deep, addictive bassline and minimal, flighty elements. The classic Afrika Bambaataa track is one of the most important tracks in the history of dance music let alone the lineage of hip-hop, electro and techno. Jensen Interceptor dials up the electro energy while leaving behind some of the hip-hop influences, going full force into pure electro territory. Exzakt & BFX's remix brings more intricate rhythms and builds the energy through dynamic sampling, pushing the track into breakbeat territory. This remix has a dramatic flair, with its evolving main melody offering a futuristic twist. DJ Godfather's take leans into Detroit's vintage electro, harkening back to 1982 with its breakdancer-friendly vibe. The track's melody keeps it rooted in the present, but the overall sound carries a nostalgic charge. The 'Advent & Zein Ferreira's Magic Mirror Remix' fuses electro and techno with precision, keeping the 808 work front and center to give the track an old-school edge while pushing it forward. Lastly, Salome's remix ramps up the intensity with a breakbeat-driven, fast-paced approach. The BPMs soar, nodding to rave and hardcore scenes from 1991, complete with a hoover sound that will have listeners flashing back to the early days of rave culture.
This EP brilliantly bridges past and future, offering a mix of timeless electro and modern interpretations of the all time classic track.
