Joe Seven's output has been minimal since his first two EP's for Exit back in 2011, and we've been awaiting his return with excitement ever since. He returns to D Bridge's quality household with a surprise album, thirteen tracks of sci-fi dance music ranging from glitchy d&b, to stripped-back techno. In fact, the sounds on here truly remind us od the infamous Exit podcasts that D Bridge himself used to compile alongside Boddika and Jon Convex, where sliding breaks meet swarms of ambient and drone. Tracks like "Dual" or "Vertica" could be enjoyed by anyone with a slight interest in futuristic dance music, and they sound so cutting-edge due to their total lack of negligence for genres of current trends. There are also moments of spine-tingling beatless euphoria, such as the tenebrous "Providence". Whichever flag you wave, this is pure quality. Warmply recommended.
