Joseph Ashworth is a master when it comes to groovy tech-house steppers, and his tunes have taken him from label to label, from one beat to the next thanks to his magnetic style. First up on this new EP for Pets Recordings is "Money", and its groove is full of energy thanks to the thick layers of percussion and melodies, while "Speedo" does more of the same but heads into deeper, more mystical territories. "Collapse" itself is more of a big room banger banger powered by big chords and chunky beats, but it's actually "Thirst" that gets all the attention from us; the tune's banging, full-bodied and full of the kind of gear that makes you swing.
