London based producer, DJ, and vocalist Josh Caffe has released previously on Batty Bass, Crosstown Rebels, Exploited and Nervous: quite a track record thus far. He now inaugurates his new label entitled Night Sheen - which is named after his famed event in the capital. 'Black Magik Dawn Part 1' is an impressive full length covering a wide variety of moods and grooves. The woozy and esoteric opener "Death Of Aquarius" gets off on the right foot, then letting the classic house jams like "Mind Obsession" and "Call Of M" channel the zeitgeist of late '80s Windy City classics. The latter featuring his smooth as silk vocals that are reminiscent of the legendary Jamie Principle.
