Estonia's Kask is back for the first time in two years on Swiss imprint Legendary Sound Research. He also did a great remix of Teleskop's WMAP earlier in the year for the label too. This time around he offers us "The Right Way", a funky, soulful, sample based house workout reminiscent of Motor City Drum Ensemble or Session Victim. Its tough beat, swirling Rhodes melody and looped vocal refrain is so infectious, you'll dig it! It's more of the same on "Kick It" with its dusty, swing fuelled groove that's so full of deepness, but just wait for those mad filter sweeps! Finally "Ouroboros" gets more on the techno tip, its dreamy pads and sombre atmospherics set the mood just nicely until a stomping and shuffling Shed style drum pattern comes rushing in like a steam train!Get new release alerts
