Kid Enigma's catalogue is full of eye-catching collaborations, including joint releases with such eyebrow-raising names as DJ Sneak, Till Von Sein and Nathan Barato. He's in collaborative mode again on this Robsoul Recordings debut, delivering a studio shakedown with Chicagoan scene stalwart Ed Nine. Up first is "That's Life", an infectious, shoulder-swinging stomp that adds "Show Me Love" style melodic motifs and stylish, hip-house style rap verses to a stomping beat and chunky bassline. Virtual B-side "All My Life" employs a similarly bold and ear-catching bassline, skipping drums and short, spoken word passages, but the starry chords and lead lines give the tracker an altogether deeper feel.Get new release alerts
