It's been nearly three years since the last Kid Who single. Then, he was an Italo-influenced nu-disco producer on the rise. Here, he tries a different tack, delivering an EP shaped by months of "experimentation with analogue tape and decrepit digital synths". The result is a quartet of tracks that variously ripple with Ron Trent/Larry Heard style classic deepness, Virgo Four style acid jack, and stargazing Detroit techno influences. There's much to enjoy throughout, from the delicious fluidity of opener "Mirage Sequence", to the eyes-wide-shut acid-meets-deep house of "Memory Map" and dreamy "Legionnaire".Get new release alerts
