Louis Jaquet hasn't released under his Kid Who alias for a long time, but he revives it in style for this release on his own Bravura label. Written and produced on hardware, this three-tracker draws on the magic of early 90s Detroit techno. This influence is especially evident on "TX Trek", where tight claps and lush synths ride an offbeat rhythm, and on "Heatwave", with its lush pads, purring bass and atmospheric undercurrent. However, the release doesn't draw solely on Detroit and the rough bass and stepping rhythm of closing track "Airglow" is also inspired by UK house from the same period.
