For the latest instalment in its Kontakt series, Senso is showcasing a collaborative effort between The YellowHeads, who run the Reload imprint, Detroit's Rebel Boy and Sam WOLFE. The result of this meeting of musical minds is an inspired two-tracker. The title track resounds to the kind of wobbling, ominous bass that has become the signature on Oliver Huntemann's label, and it is paired with epic synth builds and breathy vocal samples. Meanwhile, "Motor City" sees the production powerhouse opt for a somewhat different approach; while a pulverising bass is at the heart of the arrangement, the more atmospheric synths lend the track an added soulful dimension.
