Last time we heard from Krater was back in 2015, when the producer debuted via the fledgling Got It imprint, and that nutty strain of d&b left us wondering whether the producer could indeed be the genre's knight in shining armour. This new EP for Rwina has actually proven to us that he's capable of much more than delivering freaky blends of neo-jungle. "Pure", for instance, is a deep-ass cocktail of electronic r&b and cerebral post-dubstep funk, with the same going for "Bring Me Back", a tune that's make the likes of James Blake pretty damn jealous. Krater knows how to lay down some phat-ass beats and basslines, which is why "Strobes" is as dope as anything that's come out by bigger names as of late, and the title tune "Filters" will appeal to both the old-school Ibiza heads and the hyped-out young bloods looking for a bit of fire on the midnight antics.
