Hot on the heels of their last split release, Tronic keeps the pressure up with Mask Yourself. The title track is based on thumping tribal beats and wild snare rolls, but also features a ponderous vocal and melodic rave builds. It's an alluring combination, and the fast-rising producer opts for a similar approach on "State of Play". Once again, those tough tribal drums so beloved of label boss Christian Smith act as the basis for sweeping chords and dramatic filters. "Cloudrunner" is more stripped back and darker, as LAAT drops firing percussive volleys that lead into a moody epic filtered build. Rounding off this fine club EP is a dubbed out, drum and hi hat-led version of the title track.
