Review

Z Records boss Dave Lee returns to his own Jacksons' inspired disco house bumper fronted by Lady Ama, giving "Shake Your Body" the Joey Negro treatment. Given Lee's history as a maker of good quality, funtime disco-house, it's no surprise that his two remixes do the business. Both nudge the track further towards straight-up disco territory, utilizing far more strings and horns than the original mix, whilst retaining the heavy synth bassline that dominated the first release. Of the two mixes, it's the Special Dubb that impresses most, thanks in no small part to Lee's way with delay and knowledge of original disco dubs. For creative DJs, there's also a handy accapella.
