Even after two decades in the game, Dave "Joey Negro" Lee is still the undisputed master of disco-house revivalism. Here, he proves his credentials by delivering a punchy nu-disco take on The Jacksons' 1978 disco cut "Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)". The beats are predictably tough but swinging, the synth bassline slick and attractive, and the vocal repetitive enough to sing along to in moments of drunken escapism. There's also enough use of the original's horns and cheery party atmos to please the purists. Crucially, disco floors will love it.Get new release alerts
