Review

Gottwax makes a powerful return with its seventh release, and this time, the spotlight shines on Beeyou co-founder and FUSE regular, Laidlaw. This four-track gem navigates deep house, stripped-back grooves, and breakbeats at large, kicking off with "Wait Till The End" - a deep house peach that weaves a playful bassline, moody chords, and glistening top notes into a harmonious blend of atmosphere. "Planet 727" then provides minimal groover with subby bass and tribal-infused rhythms while the title track "Prophecy" lives up to its name, boasting a groove-laced breakbeat journey with intricate textures nestling up to a sweet, infectious melody. Locking it off is "That Was Well Quick" - a high-energy beat down adorned with luscious melodic elements to mark an exciting new addition to the Gottwax family. The Prophecy!
