Review

Google the term conceptronica and you'll find an article by Simon Reynolds on the rise of club music that's maybe more suited to museums. If it's Lee Gamble now showing at Museum Le Conceptronique, Exhaust would be showing something of an example of the club sphere and scene being turned out at the moment. Twisting spirals of deconstructing rhythms fly around the room, forming new shapes and bends, colours are sliced into bold, matte and metallic shapes. Exhaust, in all its hyperfluorescent form, pitches deconstructed club music into a new realm of idealistic harmony, dissonance and contortion. Take this as the second record in a triptych released at the start of 2019 by Hyperdub.
