Jones is one of the most adept purveyors of deep house and on Mingles he showcases his subtle, slinky approach. Both versions of "The Moment" are breathless, chord-heavy grooves with understated vocal samples and brittle rhythms, while "Duvel" features a darker, more eerie bassline underscoring a fractured vocal sample. Jones has also attracted top-level remixers, and George Fitzgerald's take on "Moment" is based on a plunging bass and a niggling shuffle, while Midland's version of "Duvel" beefs up the bass to Reese levels and doubles up the beats.
