Since parting company with Ninja Tune in 2016, Letherette have struck out on their own, re-launching their simply titled 'EP' series on their own Wulf imprint. 'EP6', the first volume in the series for almost six years, sees the London-based duo set their sights firmly on peak-time dancefloors with predictably impressive results. Check first the sample-rich, jazz-flecked, disco-sampling house chunkiness of 'Move On', before admiring the similarly minded loop jam 'Our Love' and the luxuriously loosely swung jazz-house/deep house fusion of 'Golf'. Better still is the sturdy, locked-in excellence of 'Bet You Stay', which sounds like a UKG-influenced take on St Germain. Elsewhere, 'Real' is a drowsy and glossy-eyed deep house workout with some nods to a Stevie Wonder classic, while 'In Pad' is a smooth and loved-up chunk of synth-house bliss.Get new release alerts
