In 1586, the city of Lima, Peru was all but destroyed by an earthquake that now gives its name to this V/A collection from Temblor, a label whose name also means 'earthquake'. With seven tracks from as many different artists, there's an impressive range of sounds on offer, from the dirty squelch bass of CLUB RAVE & Enjanzea 2's 'Dist' and the Eastern, almost gothic edge of 'Code Of Chaos' by Goats, to the proggy, hypnotic 'Raiz Cuadrada' from Ruary & Tatook and the more techno-oriented 'Perdidos' by Disconnected. Overall this is 'disco' only in the sense that it's not really anything else, but it's an interesting collection all the same.Get new release alerts
