Given the apparent air of mystery surrounding this release, not to mention the befuddled mentions of aliens and military droids in the accompanying press release, the smart money is on this latest Unknown to the Unknown release being the work of a talented, eccentric and well-named producer under a new pseudonym. We won't give the game away (the catalogue number offers a big clue), but suffice to say that the music is fantastic. "Drown In Your Love", all heady chords, tropical chants, hissing analogue percussion and saucer-eyed electronics, is particularly revelatory, but the hip-hop sampling intergalactic oddness of "Skyscrapers of Yphsilion" isn't far behind. The dreamy "We Gonna Ride Tonite" offers some respite in the form of an intoxicating, vintage deep house gem - all twinkling chords, fuzzy beats and stargazing intent.
