Luca Olivotto, a Berlin-based producer who's previously appeared on labels such as The Basement Discos and Inhale/Exhale, serves up some very fine trad-style house and garage grooves on this EP for DOBRO. 'Only One' itself marries an intricate funk bassline to 90s hands-in-the-air pianos, and comes complete with a tougher, denser Iner Remix, while elsewhere on the EP, 'Good Vibrations' foregrounds pianos redolent of early 90s (US) garage, 'Want You' flirts with disco and boogie flavas and 'Universe' comes on like classic rave given a jazzual makeover. Good stuff all round, but the Original of the title track wins out for yours truly.Get new release alerts
