Review

With his musical roots stretching back to early 90s hip-hop, it's no surprise that Nikolas Jakoby aka Lukas Greenberg brings a smooth, assured approach to his productions. Unsurprisingly, "Attention Musique" is a killer deep house jam, a sensuous French vocal sample rubbing up against polished chords and subtle but effective key changes. Plastic City is also to be commended for its choice of remixers. Veteran producer The Timewriter adds some bouncy bass and jazzy keys to the original version - as well as chopping up the vocal - to make for a lighter, more summery sound. Meanwhile, Greenster's version goes back to the mid to late 90s, with an evocative chord sequence and spine-tingling breakdown underpinning what has become a stuttering vocal sample
