Fresh from showcasing some of their 'personal edits' via a self-distributed release, Magari delivers what the producer promises will be the first in a series of limited-edition EPs on the freshly minted Welcome To Here imprint. Lightly progressive house tinged deep house colour is the order of the day on opener 'Calling Mick', where the Leeds-based artist peppers an acid bass-propelled groove in colourful synth sounds, psychedelic noises and the kinds of chords regularly employed by Pet Shop Boys in the late 1980s. 'Le Selvaggia' sees Magari wrap jazzy guitar solos and deep house aesthetics around a revivalist Italo-disco groove, while 'Alden' is a drowsy, dreamy Balearic nu-disco chugger underpinned by a seriously squelchy TB-303 bassline.
