Following on from the fine I/II, Malin Genie delivers another series of deep but bumping minimal house tracks. "Troglodyte Party" sees him drop an insistent groove that has a robust bass and skipping drums at its centre, while on "Drek", he veers down a more off beat, dubbed out direction, guided by insistent stabs and a lopsided rhythm. On "Mastodon", he favours a more direct route. setting sweeping filters against a cavernous groove, while "The Foolish & The Senseless Alike" sees Genie venture farther down this route with woozy synths guiding the way, before the EP concludes with the soft focus ambience of "Bodie".Get new release alerts
