Review

If Marathon Edits' first EP for Nude_isco looked to Japan for inspiration - impressively reworking a trio of obscure Far East disco and boogie treats - then this follow-up heads to the less exotic surroundings of Sheffield for source material. "Keep Feeling" is simple but devastatingly effective, serving up a rolling, synth-laden re-dub of Human League's 1983 single "(Keep Feeling) Fascination". Seemingly utilizing elements of both Martin Rushent's "Improvisation" version and Chris Thomas' extended mix, it wisely focuses on the original's killer groove, recognizable synth line and a few choice vocal snippets. The original is a pain to mix, whereas this should slip easily into disco, boogie, electro and house sets.
