Marc Cotterell is head honcho of the superb Plastic People label but this, his second full-length outing, comes instead on Italy's Groove Culture label, which is headed up by Micky More and Andy Tee. That's not the only surprise: if you're familiar with Cotterell's back catalogue you'll notice this album perhaps has more instrumental/near-instrumental jams and less vocals than you might be expecting. But otherwise the MO remains broadly similar: trad-style house and garage with disco overtones are the order of the day generally and there are bombs galore on offer, from the pure funk groove of 'Feel The Groove' to the smooth, sultry garage of 'Deep Inside' to the bumpin' organ throb of closer 'To The Beat'.
