Rekids has recruited to two very high-profile producers to contribute interpretations to the first remix package from Faraone's 2020 No Filter album. Chris Liebing, best known for running and releasing on the CLR label, is given "No Drama" to rework. In his hands, it morphs into a mysterious, rolling groove that underpins mysterious synth hooks and has echoes of Detroit techno. Mathew Jonson gets the same track to remix. Favouring a more stripped back approach, he drops a complex rhythm that acts as the canvas against which he conjures up atmospheric synths while in the background, the faintest echo of a vocal sample is audible.Get new release alerts
