Matt Sassari has previously released on respected labels like Relief and Terminal M, so it's no surprise that his tough but soulful style is also finding favour with Truesoul. The title track kickstarts the release with deep, pounding drums providing the basis for soulful vocal samples and occasional tripped out synth stabs. "Bruuh" follows a similar path, with tough kicks and a driving rhythm providing the basis for out-there vocal samples, while on "Everytime I See You", Sassari heads farther underground. Coming across like the missing link between Mr G and Klockworks, the thunder claps, delayed vocal samples and wild build-ups are nothing short of incendiary.
