Glasgow's Mia Dora have been made a big impression over the last 12 months, following a string of on-point EPs and a much-played remix of Roots Manuva for Big Dada. Here, they return to original home Moda Black with another chunk of melancholy peaktime house - all twinkling melodies, robust bottom end and woozy, touchy-feely, pitched-down vocals. DJ T takes the best bits of the original - the chords, melodies and vocals - and layers them on top of a chunky, bass-heavy new groove on his rework, while label bosses Jaymo and Andy George give the original a total overhaul. Their interpretation - fluid, energetic, deep and bassy, with some delicious new strings - is arguably the best thing on the EP.
