It's that time of year again when the annual WMC conference inspires a succession of compilations. On Miami Xpress, a new generation of artists pay tribute to the long-running dance event. In DJ PP's case, the hat-tipping has a decidedly modern feeling, with "Just You" consisting of a percussive groove, whooshing filters and a druggy vocal sample. PP also drags Gabriel Rocha into the present on "Ahavat Shalom ", where tribal beats are combined with the same kind of child chants that dominated Ricardo Villalobos's Sei Es Drum releases. There are also a few cheeky tunes, like Alex Dias & James Delato's "Bang Bang", which samples "Groove Is In The Heart" over live drums, while no Miami compilation would be complete without a disco banger, and on this occasion it comes in the form of the funk bassline, sassy diva vocals and irresistible keys of Steve Caretti's "Touch Me".
