Review
The most recent single from Vienna-based basshead Mieux gets the remix treatment, with an interesting array of artists offering their own interpretations of tracks from the Neufant EP. We Sink step up first, offering a touchy-feely UK funky take on "Greek" with distinct footwork influences. Sekuoia impresses with his version of "Pearl", which builds from an atmospheric, hip-hop tempo roller into an eyes-wide-shut assault of cut-up samples, woozy chords and delicate melodies. There's a solid edit of "Guns" from HADE in the original two-step style, before Kelpe delivers his own unique take on "Risiko". Easily the EP highlight, the DC Recordings-affiliated producer brilliantly combines cymbal-heavy percussion, atmospheric chords, ice-white melodies and crystal electronics.Get new release alerts
