Morlack may be one of the re-edit scene's most prolific contributors. He's released well over 20 EPs of reworks on Katakana Edits alone, as well as regular outings on Funk Blasters. This EP marks his seventh batch of 'Cheeky Edits' for the latter label. He begins in typically assured form, teasing out a tidy, hot-stepping, Chic-influenced disco-soul number on bona fide floor filler 'Carry On', before tweaking what sounds like a bubbly, retro-futurist nu-disco treat (but is likely a French original from the 1980s) on 'Je Ne Veux Pas Rentre Chez Vam'. To round things off, Morlack applies his deft touch to 'Glad UR In My Life', a glossy, synth-heavy slab of 80s soul/street soul excellence.Get new release alerts
