Italian producer Maurizio "Morris T" Terzi has enjoyed a long - if stop-start - career, having released his first 12" way back in 2001. Even so, "Rolling In The Deep" is his first outing for five years. It sees the Brescia-based producer doffing a cap to early '90s Italian house and the expansive musicality of Frankie Knuckles. The original version is bold and attractive, with tough, chunky beats and a deep bassline underpinning bold piano bursts and attractive synthesizer flourishes. Tiger Stripes provides the obligatory remix, turning Terzi's original into deep, tech-tinged roller blessed with attractive steel drum melodies and rich Rhodes chords.
