It sounds like something has gone very wrong here. Like the bastardisation of the fantasy story that Mr Statik refers to in the title, the latest Bpitch release sees minimal house turned on its head. "Opiate Galactic" operates against a stripped back framework, but the accompanying vocal that talks about heroin use reflects the dark side of club life. In a similar vein there's "Memoirs Of A Sexual Predator". On this occasion, a meaty bassline and a seemingly innocent vocal are used to document sexual prowess. Statik has a more innocent side too though, and "Irresistible", with its swirling synths and swaggering groove, is as sensual as a loved up first-time clubber.
