Sworb is a French producer who has established close ties with Holland's house and techno, through a release on Clone's Basement Series and now on Wolfskuil. The sound he explores here is functional and angular, tracky and tough, but with enough character to stand apart. "K-166" is a stripped back, minimal groover - in the old school sense - while "K-159" sees him add layers of fuzzy bass to a similar arrangement. Sworb is also capable of a more musical approach - just check the out-there synths thrown into the mix on "K-abL", but as the tough tribal "K-177" demonstrates, this release is mainly for the track-heads.
